MLB Power Rankings: March 2022
Updated: Mar 30, 2022
MLB’s Opening Day is about a week away! Before the games begin, we decided to rank the entire league from top to bottom:
1. Los Angeles Dodgers
This Dodgers team is absolutely loaded with talent. New addition, Freddie Freeman makes this roster even scarier.
2. Toronto Blue Jays
This Toronto team is young and may be the most offensively talented team in the American League. Last season, they went 25-11 in Rogers Centre once they were actually allowed to play their games back in Canada.
3. Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays continue to do things their own way and it has been working. For the first time in franchise history, Tampa won over 100 games in 2021 and also made the playoffs for their third consecutive season, another club record.
4. Atlanta Braves
The loss of Freddie Freeman certainly stings for fans, but his replacement Matt Olson should fill in nicely and give the Braves an honest chance of defending their 2021 World Series Title.
5. New York Mets
Owner Steve Cohen intends on making a splash and is determined to keep spending money until it works. The Mets have the highest payroll entering the 2022 season, by a lot.
6. Chicago White Sox
7. Houston Astros
8. New York Yankees
9. San Francisco Giants
10. Milwaukee Brewers
11. St. Louis Cardinals
12. Boston Red Sox
13. Philadelphia Phillies
14. Minnesota Twins
15. San Diego Padres
16. Cleveland Guardians
17. Seattle Mariners
18. Los Angeles Angels
19. Texas Rangers
20. Detroit Tigers
