Each week, we will break down the DFS main slate for the weekend on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Let’s get right to it:
Quarterback:
Patrick Mahomes (DK-$8,000; FD-$8,500) – If you must pay up at QB, Mahomes finds himself in a good spot against a subpar Raiders defense.
Taysom Hill (DK-$5,600; FD-$7,700) – We much prefer Hill this week, especially on DK. The best part about Hill, other than his price, is that he doesn’t need to play well to score well in fantasy. He is a cash lock for us playing against the Jets.
Runningback:
Javonte Williams (DK-$5,900: FD-$6,700) – Gordon may play this week, but if he sits, Williams finds himself in a great spot with the Broncos as heavy home favorites against the Lions.
Antonio Gibson (DK-$6,000; FD-$7,400) – Much like Williams, this pick is contingent on the injury status of Gibson’s fellow back JD McKissic. If McKissic sits, Gibson’s usage will sky rocket, while his price has stayed too low.
Wide Receiver:
Tyreek Hill (DK-$8,500; FD-$8,700) – It is certainly an expensive stack, but if you find the salary, Hill projects among the best WR in football this week. The Raiders do not worry us at all.
Hunter Renfrow (DK-$6,100; FD-$6,700) – Speaking of the Raiders, we are looking back to Renfrow again this week. Renfrow has over 100 yards receiving in each of the last two games.
Tight End:
George Kittle (DK-$6,900; FD-$7,100) – Last week, Kittle reminded us all of what he is capable of when healthy. He finished with 9 catches for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns. He should be a chalk play this week.
Jared Cook (DK-$3,200; FD-$5,100) – We are not crazy about the punt plays at TE this week, but Cook is worth consideration at this price, especially on DK.
Defense/Special Teams:
Kansas City Chiefs (DK-$3,300; FD-$3,700) – At the start of the season, we would not have thought that we would be picking the Chiefs defense this year, but they have since turned it around. They are worth considering against this aforementioned Raiders team.
Cleveland Browns (DK-$2,700; FD-$4,100) – So far this season, the Ravens have allowed the most sacks in the league. Cleveland, an elite pass rushing defense will be in a great spot and are priced way too low on both sites.
