NFL DFS: Week 9

Updated: Jan 14, 2022

Each week, we will break down the DFS main slate for the weekend on both Draft Kings and FanDuel. Let’s get right to it:

Quarterback:

Lamar Jackson (DK-$7,300; FD-$8,300) – Coming fresh off a bye, Lamar provides a very high floor in cash builds. He is QB3 so far this season in DK scoring.

Jalen Hurts (DK-$6,700; FD-$7,800) – Thanks to his rushing ability, Hurts also provides a high floor. This week he will play the Chargers in a game with a relatively high projected total (50).

Runningback:

Darrel Williams (DK-$5,700: FD-$6,700) – We love the value at RB this week. CEH is still out, leaving plenty of work for Williams here.

Devontae Booker (DK-$5,900; FD-$6,300) – Barkley is still out, allowed Booker to carry the workload for another week. He will face a middling Raiders defense at home.

Wide Receiver:

Tyreek Hill (DK-$7,900; FD-$8,500) – Hill provides some salary relief from Cooper yet is tied on the season for the lead in targets (90). This week, He draws a matchup against a weak Packers secondary in a game that is expected to be high scoring.

Hunter Renfrow (DK-$4,800; FD-$5,600) – For tragic reasons that we won’t go deep into, we expect Renfrow to have a few extra targets this week. He should provide great value at this price since slates are created far enough in advance.

Tight End:

Mike Gesicki (DK-$4,900; FD-$6,500) – Gesicki is third among TEs in targets and is priced well below the guys ahead of him. He will be a solid value play in his role, especially on DK.

Dallas Goedert (DK-$4,500; FD-$6,200) – Goedert is priced even cheaper on DK and will be an excellent value. His targets have only gone up since the Eagles traded away Ertz.

Defense/Special Teams:

Miami Dolphins (DK-$3,100; FD-$4,300) – We do not love the Dolphins defense, but this Texans offense is just bad. Houston’s offense ranks last in the league.

Dallas Cowboys (DK-$3,300; FD-$3,900) – This Cowboys defense has played surprisingly well this season. We like them to get to Bridgewater often this week against a Broncos team that has given up the third most sacks on the season.
