Welcome back to the FBB Weekly Edge Report! With the season approaching the halfway point, fantasy managers are entering one of the most important stretches of the year. Injuries are piling up, prospect promotions are accelerating, and the standings are beginning to separate contenders from pretenders.

This week features several teams with seven-game schedules, creating opportunities to maximize counting stats in weekly formats. Whether you're looking for hitters with favorable matchups, streaming options, or waiver-wire help, we've got you covered.

🗺️ Schedule Breakdown

Volume remains king in fantasy baseball, and several teams are expected to play a full seven-game slate this week. Clubs with seven games should receive a slight bump in weekly lineup decisions, especially for fringe hitters and matchup-based starters.

Fourteen teams are slated to play seven games this week. These teams give you max volume. That may not sound significant, but it represents roughly a 17% increase in opportunity.

🌦️Weather Notes

Summer weather is finally beginning to take hold across much of the league, creating increasingly favorable hitting environments. Warmer temperatures generally lead to better carry on fly balls, and fantasy managers should expect home run production to rise as we move deeper into June. Ballparks in the Midwest and Northeast that played relatively neutral earlier in the season may begin producing more offense.

The biggest weather concern remains scattered thunderstorms throughout the eastern half of the country. While widespread postponements are unlikely, managers should continue monitoring forecast updates for potential delays that can shorten starting pitcher outings and create bullpen-heavy games. As always, keep a close eye on weather reports before locking in weekly lineup decisions.

We post weather updates every day on X (@FTO_picks).

🔥Top Stacks to Target

 Phillies (@ WSH, @ NYM)

  • Philadelphia continues to offer one of the safest fantasy stacks in baseball. The lineup features elite production throughout the order, and their combination of power, on-base skills, and run-scoring potential makes them a strong target in all fantasy formats

  • Schwarber, Harper, Turner, and Marsh should all benefit from the schedule this week.

👉 DFS Edge: With seven games against relatively weak opposing pitching, the Phillies project near the top of the league this week.

 Reds (vs MIL, @ PIT)

  • The Reds remain one of the more underrated fantasy offenses. Their blend of speed and emerging power creates category upside across the board, and several hitters remain available in shallow leagues despite productive seasons.

  • Bleday, McClain, Marte, and Arroyo all benefit from favorable run-production environments

👉 DFS Edge: Sneaky hitters with relatively low salaries make the Reds a solid secondary stack this week.

 Cubs (@ NYM, @ MIL)

  • CHC bats are coming back to life lately and will benefit from a seven game week against relatively weak opposing pitching.

  • Suzuki, Happ, Hoerner, and Crow-Armstrong should all benefit from the schedule this week.

👉 DFS Edge: Managers in weekly leagues should feel comfortable deploying nearly every regular hitter to fill out their lineups.

Sneaky Stack: Mets (vs CHC, vs PHI)

  • You may have noticed that each of the Mets' opponents made are list of top stacks this week. That was not a mistake.

  • While these Mets bats are far from safe or consistent, they have the ability to spike at any given time, making them an interesting low-ownership option during a seven game week.

  • Soto, Benge, Young, and Alvarez all project as strong starts.

👉 DFS Edge: Perfect low-owned stack for GPP formats this week.

🎯Waiver Wire Targets

We always want to be aggressive on the waiver wire. Here are a few players/situations that we are keeping a close eye on:

⚾ Francisco Alvarez, 45% owned, was in our blog last week after a strong return from the IL and his ownership is still below what it should be. Few catchers can match his power upside when he's healthy and receiving regular at-bats. If he manages to stay healthy, and that has been a big "if" for Alvarez, we are looking at a top ten catcher for the rest of the season.

⚾ Paul Goldschmidt, 30% owned, deserves to be 100% rostered for as long as Aaron Judge remains out of the lineup. Goldy has been a huge part of this Yankees offense and we expect the ABs to be there for him.

⚾ Bryce Eldridge, 45% owned, has adapted tremendously to the major league level and offers massive fantasy upside thanks to his elite raw power and middle-of-the-order profile, making him one of the highest-ceiling waiver adds available. If he continues to receive regular playing time, he has the potential to provide an immediate boost in home runs, RBI, and overall run production during the second half.

⚾ Peter Lambert, 55% owned, has done a great job of missing bats this season with a wide variety of pitches. Without elite velocity, we do not see Lambert as a long-term solution, but certainly will ride this hot streak into the All-Star break wherever possible.

We post a longer list every Sunday on X (@FTO_picks).

🚀Sorare Value Plays

It has never been easier to build a quality lineup on Sorare MLB, but if you are looking for some cheap pieces to plug in this week, here are a few of our favorite budget options:

Starting Pitcher

 Peter Lambert, HOU

Andrew Pallante, STL

Relief Pitcher

Alex Lange, KC

 Luke Weaver, NYM

Corner Infielder

 Michael Busch, CHC

Bryce Harper, PHI

Middle Infielder

Bo Bichette, NYM

 Trea Turner, PHI

Outfielder

Seiya Suzuki, CHC

Carson Benge, NYM

🧠 Final Thoughts

The middle of June is where fantasy leagues begin separating contenders from pretenders. Managers who maximize schedules, aggressively pursue emerging talent, and remain active on the waiver wire can create significant advantages over the next several weeks.

👉 Remember: We are only halfway through the fantast baseball season. Fantasy championships are often won through incremental advantages over the long season.
