NBA Power Rankings: March 2022
We are through the All-Star break and the NBA rankings look nothing like they did 6 months ago. It has been too long since we’ve updated our rankings, so we decided to rank the entire league from top to bottom:
1. Phoenix Suns
The defending Western Conference Champions look even better this season, having lost consecutive games only three times all season. The continued development of Devin Booker could propel this team to winning an NBA Championship very soon.
2. Golden State Warriors
Forget basketball, there are few athletes in the world who are as talented at their craft as Steph Curry. Now, with Klay back and looking healthy, this team is ready to add to their dynastic run.
3. Memphis Grizzlies
Could Ja Morant be the best player from the 2019 NBA Draft? The first-time All-Star is having a season to remember, with five games over 40-points so far. Plus, this young core of productive talent around Ja might just be good enough to take this Griz team deep in the playoffs.
4. Miami Heat
Miami started the season slow, but have picked up plenty of steam lately, winning eight of their last nine games. Jimmy Butler is good enough to carry a team deep into the playoffs.
5. Chicago Bulls
Chicago has exceeded everyone’s expectations this season, largely thanks to All-Star DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls currently have the fifth best record in the NBA. However, they are winless (0-7) against all four teams ranked above them. That could be a problem down the stretch.
6. Utah Jazz
7. Milwaukee Bucks
8. Boston Celtics
9. Philadelphia 76ers
10. Dallas Mavericks
11. Denver Nuggets
12. Toronto Raptors
13. Brooklyn Nets
14. Los Angeles Clippers
15. Minnesota Timberwolves
16. Atlanta Hawks
17. Cleveland Cavaliers
18. Los Angeles Lakers
19. Charlotte Hornets
20. Washington Wizards
21. Portland Trail Blazers
22. New Orleans Pelicans
23. San Antonio Spurs
24. Sacramento Kings
25. Indiana Pacers
26. New York Knicks
27. Oklahoma City Thunder
28. Houston Rockets
29. Detroit Pistons
