Each week, we will break down the DFS main slate for the weekend on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Let’s get right to it:
Quarterback:
Jalen Hurts (DK-$7,000; FD-$8,000) – Hurts finds himself in these write-ups often and it is mainly because of his ability to move the ball on the ground. We are not worried about his performance last week and even less worried about this Jets defense.
Derek Carr (DK-$6,000; FD-$7,500) – If you read this page weekly, you know we like to save at QB. This week our guy is Carr, who has an excellent price on DK against a not-so-great Washington defense.
Runningback:
Elijah Mitchell (DK-$6,000: FD-$7,600) – Mitchell dominated last week in his return from a hand injury. Now, with Deebo Samuel set to miss time, we like Mitchell with the expected added volume.
Darrell Henderson (DK-$6,100; FD-$7,500) – There are a handful of RBs we could write about this week (and we will discuss more over on YouTube), but for this post we are going to highlight another player who is way underpriced on DK. The Rams are heavy favorites this week against Jacksonville.
Wide Receiver:
Cooper Kupp (DK-$9,00; FD-$9,000) – Speaking of that JAX defense, we get the league’s leader in targets against the worst pass defense. Even the addition of diva WR Odell Beckham can’t slow Kupp down.
Hunter Renfrow (DK-$5,800; FD-$6,400) – Renfrow has been a common play for us since Ruggs was released, but now Waller is hurt and all signs point to him sitting this week. We already wrote about the unimpressive Washington defense. This is a great stacking option with Carr.
Tight End:
Rob Gronkowski (DK-$5,300; FD-$7,000) – Gronk’s price is on the rise, but his target share should remain stable with Antonio Brown suspended the next 3 weeks for submitting fraudulent covid documentation to the league. Gronk has 18 targets in the last two weeks.
Foster Moreau (DK-$2,700; FD-$5,000) – Let’s keep adding to that Raiders stack. As we said, Waller is out, which leaves Moreau as the fill-in at TE. He is worth the upside at these punt-level prices.
Defense/Special Teams:
Los Angeles Rams (DK-$4,000; FD-$4,900) – We mentioned that we are high on the Rams this week. They have too much talent to not figure things out, especially against a rookie QB.
San Francisco (DK-$3,000; FD-$4,200) – There are a handful of quality defenses this week (and it often makes sense to stack yours with one of your RBs), but we want to highlight SF against a SEA team that has been flat in Russell Wilson’s return from injury. SEA has a total of 28 points over the last 3 weeks.
