NFL DFS: Week 2

Updated: Jan 14, 2022

NFL Football is back! Each week, we will break down the DFS main slate for the weekend on both Draft Kings and FanDuel. Let’s get right to it:

Quarterback:

Justin Herbert (DK-$6,700; FD-$7,600) – There are a ton of viable QBs this week, but we want to highlight Herbert who will play in the game with the highest projected point total on the slate against a very weak Cowboys defense.

Matt Stafford (DK-$6,400; FD-$7,500) – Some are concerned about this Colts defense, but we are not. Stafford looked reinvigorated in his Rams debut and we absolutely love him at this price for this week. When you look at how cheap it will be to stack LAR, playing Stafford will make even more sense.

Runningback:

Chris Carson (DK-$6,100: FD-$6,700) – After playing 42 of 52 offensive snaps last week, we expect an even bigger workload for Carson this week with Rashaad Penny ruled out of Sunday’s game. Love the value here.

Najee Harris (DK-$6,300; FD-$6,100) – Harris saw a full workload last week. He struggled vs the Bills, but will face a much softer Raiders defense on Sunday that allowed over 140 yards and 2 TDs to Ravens RBs last week.

Wide Receiver:

CeeDee Lamb (DK-$6,400; FD-$6,800) – Lamb is not our favorite WR this week, but he is the most expensive one we will roster, so let’s talk about him first. Lamb is I line for a high-scoring and fast-paced game vs LAC. The Cowboys are also without Michael Gallup, leaving Lamb in another high volume spot.

Jarvis Landry (DK-$6,300; FD-$6,800) – With baby Beckham expected to miss yet another week of football, Landry finds himself shooting up weekly rankings as a top 25 WR on the week and a great play from a DFS pricing standpoint.

Cooper Kupp (DK-$6,000; FD-$6,200) – Kupp was LAR’s top WR last week, catching 7 of 10 targets for 108 yards and 1 TD. He is way too cheap for his role in this offense and should be over $7k on both sites in the coming weeks.

Tight End:

Darren Waller (DK-$7,600; FD-$7,000) – No Kelce on this slate, but we have the next best thing in Waller. While we expect a big game and safety from a cash game standpoint, we do believe WR are priced much softer, which leaves Waller playable only if you can afford it.

Tyler Higbee (DK-$4,400; FD-$5,600) – Surprise! Yet another Rams pass catcher makes our list, as we are fully prepared to stack this offense in a matchup that could lead them to be under-owned.

Defense/Special Teams:

Cleveland Browns (DK-$3,500; FD-$4,200) – The Browns could be a sneaky defensive play coming off a game against the best offensive in football, Kansas City. This week, CLE will face a much weaker HOU team that probably overperformed in Week 1.

New Orleans Saints (DK-$3,100 ; FD-$4,300) – New Orleans is an excellent value play here, coming in fairly cheap against Sam Darnold and the Panthers. This is the same Saints defense that held Aaron Rodgers without a touchdown last week. We will smash this.
