Rory got the job done again, winning back-to-back Green Jackets. Great week of golf for him, and also presumably a great three weeks prior that he spent playing Augusta leading up to the event. Turns out the talks of his back injury lingering were mostly speculative. We can assure you if this information was more public knowledge, we wouldn’t have faded him last week. On to RBC Heritage...👇
Tournament Overview
The PGA Tour barely has time to exhale after Augusta before heading to one of the most unique—and polarizing—stops on the schedule: the Harbour Town Golf Links for the RBC Heritage. This is not a bomb-and-gouge week. This is chess, not checkers.
⛳Course Breakdown: Harbour Town
Harbour Town is a Pete Dye masterpiece that strips golf down to its purest form—precision.
Key Specs:
Par: 71
Yardage: ~7,200 yards
Greens: Small POA Trivialis / Bermuda blend
Fairways: Extremely narrow, tree-lined
Designers: Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus
What makes it unique:
Tiny greens (~3,700 sq ft vs ~6,600 tour avg)
Overhanging trees force shot shaping
Strategic angles matter more than distance
Water lurks on key approach holes (4, 8, 14, 17, 18)
This is a “second-shot golf course”—approach play is EVERYTHING.
✅ Harbour Town consistently rewards a very specific archetype:
Elite Strokes Gained: Approach
Strong scrambling / short game
Accurate off the tee (not long)
Comfort on Pete Dye designs
Golfers that typically thrive here include precision players (Morikawa, Fitzpatrick) and short-game wizards(Spieth, Harman).
❌ What DOESN’T matter:
Raw distance
Driving dominance
💰The Purse
Signature event $20,000,000 purse with NO CUT. For DFS and OAD purposes, the lack of cut is huge - you should be embracing riskier decisions this week in both formats.
☁️Weather Forecast
Key Takeaways:
Temps: High 79–87°F
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy
Light coastal winds (10–15 mph range)
Expect firm, fast conditions—perfect for scoring
Wind could subtly impact club selection on exposed holes
Overall: Ideal scoring weather

Again, we are embracing reasonable risk this weekend, you should too.
Top Picks T15 or better
Scottie Scheffler ($13,500 DFS; +385 to win)
Seemed to get his game back under control at the Masters last week and was a blade of grass from forcing a playoff. Hard not to pick him here.
Matt Fitzpatrick ($10,000 DFS; +1700 to win)
Fitzy has made 8 of 11 cuts here with a victory in 2023. He is playing some of the best golf of his career and his ball striking ability is a huge asset to him this week.
Patrick Cantlay ($9,200 DFS; +2500 to win)
Cantlay is 7 of 8 cuts made at this event with six top-10’s. He has a 7th and a 12th place finish in his last two events. This is a strong week to pick Cantlay.
Fade - Outside of top 15
Cam Young ($9,800 DFS; +1750 to win)
Coming off an emotional Sunday at the Masters, where he fell off at the end, paired with a poor history at this event indicates to us that fading him this week would be a savvy decision.
Collin Morikawa ($9,300 DFS; +2300 to win)
Still clearly battling injury, Morikawa willed his way to a respectable T7 at The Masters. This week, in a no cut event, we would not be surprised if Morikawa starts the event and pulls out early. We want to embrace risk this week, but this is not the kind of risk we are chasing.
Robert MacIntyre ($8,700 DFS; +2900 to win)
MacIntyre's game does not match up here very well and his event history shows that. T66 here last year and we see a similar result coming this year.
Dark Horse - outright winner to top 15
Jordan Spieth ($8,800 DFS; +3000 to win)
Spieth is a past winner here and he has been playing well so far in 2026. He jumps out as a great dark horse pick for us.
Akshay Bhatia ($7,700 DFS; +6000 to win)
Bhatia has quietly racked up four top-15 finishes this year. After a disappointing Masters, we believe Bhatia will be able to bounce back this week.
Sudarshan Yellamaraju ($7,200 DFS; +12000 to win)
One of the hottest golfers on tour, but wasn’t able to qualify for The Masters. To be able to qualify for this signature event currently standing 30th in the FedEx cup rankings in his first full year on tour is a testament to his play to date.
🧠 Final Thoughts
With a condensed field and a course like Harbour Town that tends to reward precision over pure power, this week’s RBC Heritage sets up as a spot to lean into uncomfortable roster builds. Ownership is likely to condense around the same “safe” profiles, which only increases the leverage gained by taking on calculated risk. Embracing volatility — whether that’s targeting lower-owned ball strikers or betting on short-term putting spikes — is how you separate in a tighter, more methodical event like this. Don’t be afraid to get different this weekend; it’s one of the better spots on the calendar to do it.
